John Collicutt

Street Safe Thinking

John Collicutt is a consultant and a trainer.

He has spent three decades working in and around dangerous and often hostile environments as an army officer, stabilisation advisor and crisis response expert. While in the British Army he saw operational service in Northern Ireland, the Balkans and Iraq and was seconded to the Royal Marines and Security Service.

He was the Second in Command of the Fusiliers Battlegroup as it took the northern half of Basra in 2003 and controlled the border crossing and attack for the Desert Rats into Iraq from Basra. Since leaving he has run a district of Helmand Province, Afghanistan, and worked as the personal advisor to the National Security Coordinator for Sierra Leone during the 2015-16 Ebola crisis.

Street Safe Thinking is his first book.

He decided to write it and to share his skills and knowledge when one of his sons narrowly missed being at Borough Market, London, during the 2017 terror attack.

John is available for speaking engagements and to help develop skills training courses to pass on the essential safety habits.
